Intro

Berlin Onsite (Hybrid Option) | English B2–C2, German a plus | 30 days vacation

Back pain is the leading cause of workplace absence in Germany.

ViVira has the solution: We deliver digital movement therapy via app. Always available, easy to use, effective, and reimbursed by health insurance. ViVira was founded from the desire to make treating musculoskeletal conditions as simple and effective as possible.

Your opportunity: In this role, you will take ownership of our IT infrastructure and security platforms - from IAM and SIEM/XDR to cloud security and compliance. You will assume both operational and technical responsibility. With a high degree of autonomy and cross-team collaboration, you will pragmatically build a scalable security infrastructure.
Join us in making sure back pain no longer dictates everyday life - instead, digital solutions make the difference.

Your responsibilities include

  • Support technical teams with security-related reviews, audits, testing, and security decisions for our applications.

  • Use scripts and technical tools to make recurring tasks more efficient, structured, and robust.

  • Take on operational and ad-hoc security tasks as well as technical onboarding, offboarding, and asset management, ensuring reliability in daily business.

  • Navigate confidently in modern cloud and infrastructure contexts, and support regulatory requirements (DiGA, BSI, ISO 27001).

  • Work independently, drive tasks proactively, and take ownership - even when the path is not yet fully defined.

What you should bring

  • 3+ years of practical experience in IT security operations, security engineering, or a comparable role; ideally with experience in a regulated environment such as healthcare.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR platforms (configuration, tuning, detection rules), Identity & Access Management (IAM, RBAC, SSO, MFA), MDM and asset management, as well as a solid understanding of security frameworks & standards (DiGA, BSI, ISO 27001).

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation; Python and Shell are especially useful.

  • Confidence working on the command line, solid understanding of Linux and technical cloud infrastructure, and knowledge of basic infrastructure-as-code concepts.

  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style: proactively identify problems, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and are open to quickly learning new tools and topics.

  • You take responsibility, work independently, and bring a startup mindset - ready to pitch in flexibly where you can add the most value.
